52 -Field of Mars, Warada, Doyle and Sand Loop tracks

Field of Mars.  The area traversed by us was relatively easy except for one small brambly bit. The tracks, Warada, Sand and Doyle were very easy to follow.   The area with its exotic sounding name 'Field of Mars' covers about 50 hectares of remnant bushland  with a total of five trails of easy, serene walks.   The final part of our walk comprised a raised boardwalk alongside the Buffalo Creek. How wonderful it is that these reserves and parks are to be found throughout the Sydney area offering peaceful walks plus refuge from the hustle and bustle of traffic and city conditions. This Walk, flatter and  less majestic than our two  previous walks comprised dry eucalypt woodland with some soaring Blue Gums.

Coffee at the delightful Unwritten Cafe in Hunters Hill    (I checked the address, not Gladesville, not Ryde)

Walkers:   Jane, Kate, Pippa, Moira, Carolle
