54 Ferndale Walk

Ferndale Park was magic.   At the commencement of the walk we could scarcely move on for the wondrous scenes before us. It was incredibly pretty and we thank the responsible Council for placing beautiful timber benches at the best beauty spots..   The little bridge was a designer delight with timber  beautifully curved, carved to fit attractively.   Birdsong in the air, 24 species of fern, trickling  Swaines Creek delighted the senses.
Due to forgetful Carolle leaving essential maps behind we got a bit lost and in fact did not nearly complete the plan for the morning.  No matter, we were well satisfied.  But..... this little walk is well worth doing again along with the rest of the original plan.

We met up with Donna at the new High Street Bakery for coffee and long  chat.  We were so pleased to see Wendy who will be back again on 15th October while the following week, 22nd we look forward to seeing Linzi.  Oh woe, Linzi, Oh woe N.Z., whatever happened to the winning Kiwis in the Australia Cup?  Hold thumbs for Wendy who is awaiting results at the NSW Gallery.  I am confident though.

Walkers:  Wendy, Kate, Moira, Carolle
