Walk 7 - Anzac Bridge, Blackwattle Bay, Bicentennial Park

Crescent str Mural

Carolle learnt a lesson today:  carry a good map! We needed our map.  all the same we managed an excellent exploratory walk in and around the areas mentioned above.
We found our way past the Fish Markets having initially walked from the city across Pyrmont Bridge.   The walking track kept close to Rozelle and Blackwattle Bays with wide magical views of  the city skyline, the nearby marinas with  evidence of old shipping yards,  Federal Park, Bicentennial Park the looming beautiful Anzac Bridge, on past the Crescent murals, along James Craig Road to ascend the steps spiralling round to reach the Anzac soldier.  Up on the Anzac Bridge we were able to look down on the old Glebe Island Bridge, open then  to gaze dizzily upwards at the vast magnificent but elegant cables fanning  upwards to form the fine delicate strands seen from afar.  Coffee in a Pyrmont street cafe.

Walkers today: Donna,Moira,Pippa,Wendy,Kate,Carolle
